Mon, 8 June 2009  Today was a very special day at the Unity Church of Ames for two reasons. Claire did the service today - that was special. And the service was our Pet Blessing. Claire told the story about Ginger, a cat that was abandoned in a vacant lot. Ginger was rescued by a very special person. Claire talked about the things that Ginger was thinking and experiencing. Claire made it sound as though she was reading from a book. As it turns out, Ginger was... Well, you'll just have to listen to Claire on this podcast. It is worth it. Tue, 2 June 2009  WOW - What a Sunday we had today! Our special guest was Jonas Magram and his wife Sandra. Jonas's lesson for today was called "How to Survive the Dissolution of Universe and Other Personal Crisis; Awakening to Our Eternal Nature" Those of you who have experienced Jonas before know what a joy it was to have Jonas and Sandra with us. We sing a song called "Welcome Song" by Volpe and Rowell. The last line is "You're not a stranger any more, now you're family". Jonas and Sandra are now part of the Unity Church of Ames family. We were all touched by Jonas's lesson, songs, laughter, spirituality, and on and on and on. Rumor has it that they may be back on August 2! Call the church for further updates. Thank you Jonas and Sandra!

Mon, 18 May 2009  Today we had a very special guest... Terry Murray. Terry is a student at Unity Village. Her goal is to become a Unity Minister. Terry's lesson, presence, attitude and laughter all earned her an A+ from the Unity Church of Ames folks. Thank you Terry. Clark has composed a third music line for our Unity Blessing. It was unveiled this morning. Putting our Blessing to music really enhances the giving and receiving of the Blessing. Thank you Clark! Let Your Spirit Soar! Sun, 10 May 2009  God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers. - Jewish proverb What a Mother's Day treat today! Our guest today was Chris Foster. Chris today sang several original songs and did a wonderful lesson on "A Commitment to Motherhood". Wait 'till you hear this! And today's picture shows Michelle and a card that one of her daughters drew and another daughter gave to MOM. I hope you can see the picture. It says Mommy and has hearts all over it.
